What if running could be easier? Would you like it more?
There is a way to make running easier and more enjoyable by tweaking your running form.
Perfecting your running form will take some upfront, conscious effort, but once you have your form nailed down, you’ll be more efficient at running, have less injuries, and eventually, become faster.
Running experts say that good running form includes:
1| Feet that lands underneath your center of gravity, also known as foot strike. Landing in front of your body creates a braking effect, which slows you down.
2| Increasing your step rate while running, also called cadence.
3| A back leg swing that propels you forward.
5| A relaxed arm swing (no clenched fists!), which means your arms should maintain a 90 degree angle and shouldn’t cross your center line. Elite marathoner Ryan Hall shares his tips in this video.
